Tour Highlights

Opera House
One of the most famous opera houses, and opera companies, in the world. Work on the building began in 1861 and was completed in 1869, following plans drawn up by architects August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van der Nüll. It was built in the Neo-Renaissance style and was the first opera built in Vienna.
The Ring
The Ringstraße (or Ringstrasse) is a circular road surrounding the Innere Stadt district Vienna and is one of its main sights. It was built to replace the city walls from the 13th century and is built in a typical historical style of the 1860s to the 1890s.
Hofburg Imperial Palace
This famous palace housed some of the most powerful people in the country's history, notably the Habsburg dynasty who ruled the Austro-Hungarian empire. The Palace was the birthplace of Marie Antoinette (Queen of France) in 1755. Today it serves as the official residence of the President of Austria.
Rathaus
The City Hall of Vienna. The Rathaus, German for "Council House", serves as the seat of both the mayor and city council of Vienna. It was designed in Gothic style by Friedrich von Schmidt between 1872 and 1883.
St. Stephen's Vienna
The most important religious building in Austria's capital, the cathedral was built in response to many important events in the nation's history and has become one of the city's most identifiable symbols. It stands on the ruins of the ruins of two earlier churches and is a Romanesque and Gothic style.

Each of our tours begins with a 25-minute orientation session in the park next to our meeting point. We will practice on the Segways until everyone feels comfortable and ready to go out and conquer Vienna. The Segway is appropriate for virtually anyone 12 and older.
