NATO Summit Scheduling Notes

City Segway Tours of Chicago has made the decision to close our office on Saturday, May 19, Sunday May 20 and Monday May 21, 2012 while the NATO Summit takes place in Chicago. After consulting with the Chicago Park District, Chicago Police Department and other authorities and seeing the planned closures put forth by the City of Chicago and the Secret Service, we have decided that the best course of action is to remain closed for those dates.

We looked at several factors in making this decision, but primarily focused on the impact of closures in the parks and Museum Campus as well as street closures, detours and other changes that are out of our control. While we certainly look forward to touring with our guests, we felt that the combination of traffic disruptions limiting access to our office and the closures along our tour route would create a less than ideal experience for our guests on those days.

We will still tour on Friday, May 18 and will resume our full tour schedule on Tuesday, May 22 at 10 a.m. If you have any questions regarding these decisions, please feel free to call us here at 312.819.0186 and we’ll be here to help.
