Mini Afternoon Tour
Ever wanted to just try a Segway out?!Save time, save money with the mini Budapest Segway afternoon tour! Learn to ride a Segway, then take it out of a short spin along the grand boulevard of Andrassy seeing such sights as the Opear house, St. Stephen’s Basilica and much more in just an hour and half tour!
The tour starts with approx. a 20-30 minute orientation session in our office and on the square next to the City Segway Tours office on how to operate a Segway. You will have time to practice on the Segways so that everyone feels comfortable and ready to go out for a quick spin around Budapest.
The mini afternoon tour will give you a fantastic opportunity to try out a Segway and also give you the chance for a quick orientation of inner Pest and fabulous views of the stunning buildings along our route. You will glide from the office in the city center to sites including St. Stephen's Basilica, the Hungarian State Opera House and the Grand Boulevard of Andrassy framed by its tree-lined avenues. Also a quick look at the Chain Bridge, Roosevelt Square and more before heading back to the office!

St. Stephen's Basilica

Named in honor of Stephen, the first King of Hungary from roughly 975-1038, this ecclesiastic basilica is the tallest building in Budapest along with the Hungarian Parliament Building reaching 96 meters. It took approximately 54 years to construct and was completed in 1905.

Opera House

The Hungarian Royal Opera House opened in 1884 and is considered to be a masterpiece of neo-Renaissance style. It has been rated by engineers to have the third best acoustics in Europe, after the Scala in Milan and the Paris Opera House.

Views of Buda

The western part of the capital located on the west bank of the Danube River. The name Buda comes from Bleda the Hun ruler, whose name in Hungarian is Buda. Comprising about one-third of the entire city of Budapest, it is mostly hilly and wooded.
