Have you ever wanted to just give the Segway a try? Have you already seen the main sights and simply want to enjoy your late afternoon? Then this is the perfect tour for you!

Our “mini” tour starts with a comprehensive introduction to the Segway to get you trained and comfortable riding one.  From there your guide will take you for an enjoyable ride down Unter den Linden and through the Brandenburg Gate before returning to the TV Tower.

While the focus of our All-In-One City Tour is to show you all the sights and give you a detailed explanation of the history of Berlin, our “Mini” Tour is all about a fun ride on the Segway.  Imagine the looks of locals and visitors alike as you glide effortlessly down Berlin’s main boulevard to Germany’s most recognizeable symble - the famous Brandenburg Gate!  Along the way you’ll even sneak in a few of the main sights and you’re guide will be available to answer any questions you may have.

    Enjoy Riding a Segway!

Having fun riding the Segway is the name of the game on our "Mini" Afternoon Tour. Your guide will show you the ins and outs of the machine before you take to the sidewalks and tree-lined boulevard of Unter den Linden.

    Unter den Linden

Unter den Linden is one of Berlin's most famous avenues. Lined with trees and expensive shops it connects the Brandenburg Gate to Museum Island and the location of the old Prussian palace. It's a beautiful ride by Segway, particularly down the middle of the avenue!

  • bgate
    Brandenburg Gate

Arguably Germany's most famous monument, the Brandenburg Gate served as a backdrop for many of Berlin's most important events: Napoleon's march into Berlin, the division of Berlin during the Cold War, famous speeches (Reagan) and concerts (Hasselhof!), and much more.

    Bebelplatz

Directly in front of the main building and library of Germany's most prestigious university, this was the site of the Nazi's infamous book-burning on May 10, 1933.

    Museum Island

This is home to five of Berlin's most famous museums, notably the Pergamon Museum and the Egyptian Museum (now housed in the Neues Museum).

Important Notes

Each of our tours begins with a 30-minute orientation session in the plaza and park next to our office. We will practice on the Segways so that everyone feels comfortable and ready to go out and conquer Berlin. The Segway is appropriate for virtually anyone aged 15 and older, provided they possess a motor vehicle license of any kind. Minors under the age of 18 must either be accompanied by an adult or have an adult complete our insurance paperwork in advance of the tour. Unfortunately, anyone under the age of 15 and pregnant women will not be permitted to participate. Again, you must be at least 15 years of age to participate. IDs will be checked for those looking underage.

For insurance policy stipulations, we are required to take a EUR 200,- damage deposit per party to cover damages to the Segway. This desposit will be taken by credit card (Visa, MC, or Amex) or cash at the time of the tour and refunded afterwards provided no damage to the Segway has been sustained.

Additionally, City Segway Tours has a strict policy against alcohol consumption and Segway operation. Alcohol is forbidden on all Segway tours and any client suspected of drinking before or during a Segway tour will immediately forfeit their tour and no refund will be given.

Please also wear flat, comfortable footwear. Flip-flop sandals and high heeled shoes make riding the Segways more difficult.

Lastly, participants must weigh between 100 lbs (45 kgs) and 255 lbs (115kgs) to use the machine properly.
