• Do this tour!

  We had never been to Berlin before, and this was a birthday treat. We decided to do the Segway Tour the morning after arriving in Berlin so that we could get a quick orientation of the City. I have never been on a Segway before, though I have been a motor cyclist and my partner used to roller blade everywhere and my father used to ride the Globe of Death.

  I was slightly nervous about the Segway: strange machine, strange City, and so on -  but had no reason to be at all. The personal attention to detail, especially for health and Safety by our guide, Marriette, was outstanding, and we had an excellent training session before we went out on to the streets of Berlin. Sue, my partner, was helped on and off the Segway as necessary as an extra courtesy.

  We were taken to the main places one would want to see, with anecdotal commentary and flexibility on discussion regarding issues associated with the more controversial sightseeing spots. Really interesting commentary rather than the rehearsed by rote spiel one can get on some tours.

  The main thrust of reccomendation for this tour is that it is fun! You get to see a lot more, faster, and you even become a sightseeing feature yourself as other tourists point, take pictures and gasp (I am sure in admiration). The self conscious image vanishes very quickly   and you get used to the word “Segggggwayyyyy” being whispered as you pass pedestrians, almost as though you are a special tourist (which of course you are). At one stop some young hip-hop kids who hasd been dancing on the grass came over and begged to be allowed a go on the Seg - Marriette dealt with their request diplomatically and with humour. There was no incident - think we gained serious respect for being such cool riders.

  Do this Tour! It is highly reccomended. There are a few other Segway operators but with this company we had over 4 hours, attention to detail and I just wanted to do it again. prior to booking the tour their support via e mail to me in the Uk was brilliant.

  By the way - we are both almost 65, think I did mention the Pensioner thing but if not - well there you go?

• By far the best tour we have ever been on

  MARRIETTE, September 27 City Segway Tour:

  Thanks for a great day out in the rain. My father Sten (Stein as you nicknamed him) age 70 really enjoyed the Segway and your guiding. This was by far the best tour we have ever been on and we would recommend it to anyone. Before I was worried that my father would find it hard to master the Segway, but after just a few seconds it looked like he had done this his entire life. Again, a really big thanks for the enthusiastic tour and thanks for the uploaded pictures. They are appreciated.

• I will recommend your tours

  Hey Buddies I would like to thank you for that great Segway tour that we had last Friday 3.sep.2010 morning. My group leader was Carissa and she has done her job very well. My other working colleges who were in the other groups were happy as well with their tour guides. I will recommend your tours to my friends in Switzerland ;-)

• Competent and Witty Style

  Regarding the Berlin City Tour undertaken last Friday 07/08/10, I have the following comments:
  Thank you, thank you Marriette, for a wonderful tour of Berlin city And all the interesting details you imparted to us and a competent and witty style. This was one of the best tours I have ever taken and I have done a few. I have to say the use of the Segway was brilliant and kept me smiling all the time. The combination was nothing short of excellent and I totally recommend anyone visiting Berlin to take this tour. I will be back next year for another go!

• Great Insight and Wit

  We took the tour on Friday 7th August and had an amazing time, nearly as good as sex. Marriette was fantastic with great insight and wit, just what a tour guide should be. I have been to Berlin a number of times and saw and heard on this tour stuff that was new, informative and fun. The Segway experience is something that any and all visitors should experience and I for one will be back next year. See you then.

• So fun and interesting

  Hello! We just wanted to tell you how great we thought the segway tour was! Now we had to see what other cities there are Segways. And guess what…. We’ve decided that next trip will be Vienna - cause there’s a Segway tour there :) Thanks to Carissa that made this tour so fun and interesting. • A really great, great experience

  We middle-aged adults agreed to a Segway tour only for the kids’ sake—since we‘d been dragging them thru museums—but in the end, we adults had as extraordinary a time as they did. This tour, led by Walid, is really a great, great experience. Walid is a truly exceptional tour guide—both careful and thoughtful as a Segway instructor, and articulate, entertaining, witty, wise, well-informed, outspoken, and insightful as a teacher and guide. Walid really knows this city and its often-cruel, always-compelling history, and his presentation is engaging and memorable. • THE best way to see Berlin

  Hi there, I just wanted to drop a quick note to say what a FANTASTIC tour we had with Mariette on Friday, June 11th - I couldn’t recommend this as THE best way to see Berlin - the Segway experience is a whole lot of fun - but it was Mariette’s in depth knowledge and excellent humour added to it that made this a truly memorable tour in all the best ways - fantastic.

• Marriette Did a Fantastic Job

  My daughter Vickie and myself did a segway tour with Marriette in the freezing cold and snow! We still enjoyed the experience of seeing Berlin in the best way possible….on a segway. Marriette did a fantastic job of taking us around despite the horrendous weather conditions and the stop we had for hot chocolate and a bit later for a bowl of hot soup was appreciated.Thanks for taking some great photos of us both Marriette.

• Highlight of Our Vacation!

  Hi there, I just wanted to pass on that my husband and I took a segway tour April 2010 with Marriette.  It was a highlight of our vacation! I was worried I would not be able to control the machine but after excellent tutoring from Marriette we were out and around Berlin. It was a great way to take in the local sights, without the back breaking walking that would be necessary to cover the ground we did. • Had a Great Time Yesterday

  We had a great ride yesterday; please forward our regards to Walid. I am attaching a picture that you may use at your discretion. Werner, my 63 yr old father-in-law actually mentioned something like “I would have bitten myself in the a.. had I not done it ...”.
